New signing, supercard speculations

13/03/08
Hobart, TAS

In the past 48 hours, EAW has signed another superstar onto their roster, in the form of Californian musician turned wrestler, Kris "The Renegade" West.

"West was an NCAA Champion and twice All American in the 100 metre during his few years at Cal State Longbeach. This makes him a very quick competitor, and we can't wait to see what his is able to do in that ring." says EAW owner Scott Carmichael.

This latest signing brings the EAW roster up to seven, just one shy of the eight people that Carmichael requires for the title tournament. Rumours are that the EAW owner is in talks with a mystery competitor to bring the numbers up so the tournament, and subsequently, EAW's first supercard, can take place sooner than first thought.

"Yes, I have been in contact with someone. This competitor has a history of big matches and great title reigns. I'm trying hard not to play favourites here, but bringing in a star of this magnitude will definitely draw the crowds in for the supercard."

When pressed further to reveal more about this competitor, Carmichael just gave a wry smile and a shake of the head.

"No more comments, sorry."

More news on this as it comes to hand.
